I just got my 512 today and as I was afraid of, it's real slow. I have tried formatting in various combinations of FAT sizes and clusters. Regardless of the combination, the card doesn't even come close to the read/write times of my Lexar 256 (using Pocket Mechanic). This card seems to be hit and miss.

Even though the price was nice, it looks like I will have to delegate this card to my digicam.

Too bad those lexar cards are so damn expensive!

My advice, stay away from Sandisk if performance matters.
