Heh, we all thought the same thing. Turns out caching is a bad thing, go figure :)
I'm assuming that the 'pause' is caused when the video playback catches up with the end of the cache (maybe it can't play and read more of the file into the cache very well yet?) because it's not just a normal pause - frames are being dropped during the pause. But then again, I could be way off base - you know what they say about assuming... :p
