Hope this solves it.....

There's a little oval-shaped button on the back of your axim, right above the top left cover of the large battery compartment. Slip your stylus in the embedded hole (near the lock symbol) and slide it towards the unlock symbol). While holding the sliding button in this unlock position, put your door cover back in. Now lelease the button so it goes back to the lock position
