Jake,
I've done all those things (although "settings" in grayed out for Contacts).
What happens to me is the following:
-Window that says "Network problems are preventing connection to the MS Exchange Server. Contact my admin if this persists"
- I hit OK, then window says: "The action could not be completd"
- I hit OK, then MS Exchange Server window says I must "provide the name of my MS Exchange Server." I'm not using a server, so I hit OK or cancel (same result).
- Then I get a MS Outlook Sync window "Sync cannot be completed b/c my personal info manager (PIM) program cannot be accessed. blah, blah"
- I hit OK and then the Status of Contacts is "Attention required"
- And my PDA is still sync-ing, seemlingly in a loop. :(
Sorry for the verbosity, but I REALLY don't want to lose all my Contacts. I have Outlook 2000 on my desktop. Do I need to have it open, or certain folders set up in ceratin areas for Outlook files? Or do I still have some server box chosen somewhere in my PDA?
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
