You can browse to the application on the SD card and run it directly. You can also use a file explorer application (Total Commander or Resco File Explorer) and change the shortcut link for the icon in the start menu and program folder to point to the .exe on the SD card.
HOWEVER, I don't think it will sync with your desktop. I installed mine to the built-in memory and couldn't get it to sync. Finally I caved in and just installed it to main memory
