That makes sense, I suppose. It does seem to vary depending on what is being done. Although, I must say that the [USB] speed difference between my h3630 and h4150 is dramatic. There is simply no comparison.

The "compliance" to USB 1.1 probably has no definition of speed performance, simply that it can communicate at up to the standard (I'm guessing) leaving large margins for actual performance.

I was thinking that the h3630 was just a slower chipset - or possibly just that its got an old processor that simply doesnt clock all that fast. Never really got into the internals of the PPC. Treated them more like an appliance, you know .....kettle, toaster, hob, blender, PDA.
