I appreciate you trying to bring the thread back on topic :p
I can see your point about the know vs. believe thing. Maybe it's as simple as symantics and not worth arguing. It's just one of my pet peeves when people say that they know where they're going when they die or that they know the truth. Based on the simple fact that there are so many different Christian denominations pretty much proves that none of them have direct contact with a god.
Anyway, I plan to raise my kids with knowledge of all religions and let them decide for themselves what they want to believe in. I'd hate to condemn them to hell if I'm wrong! On the other hand, if Hinduism is the winner, I'd like to think I gave them at least a good chance of reincarnation!
