First, it's a GlobalSat GPS (not GlobalStar), and it does NOT block the headphone jack (I have one).

Sorry, I was in a hurry and forgot the exact name. Glad to hear the headphone jack is unobstructed. I've read in other threads (sorry can't remember where) of GPS CF receivers blocking the Axims' headphone jack.

AS far as I'm aware, there is no CF GPS that you can "detach the antenna from the CF card," unless you are referencing the EXTERNAL antenna which plugs into the antenna on the CF card. You still have about a 1.5" square antenna sticking out of the Ax.

This particular Pharos model has a detachable GPS receiver antenna:
http://www.pharosgps.com/products/co...lash/PF023.htm
"When you are inside your vehicle, you can simply detach the receiver and use the extention cable to set the receiver on your dashboard for improved reception."
But I don't know if the head phone jack is blocked by either the detachable GPS receiver (antenna) or the remaining GPS CF component still sticking out of the CF slot. Anyone?
Anyway, anyone know of any other CF GPS brands & models which don't block the Axim's headphone jack?
Thanks. CF GPS are pretty hard to find where I live. I plan to buy one online after I save up my cash.
