I've been looking at tom tom, so far as I know, no other package gives you the ability to avoid major roads that may be congested at certain times of the day, have road work etc. I understand it also includes points of interest. I'm interested in hearing how good you think the maps are, especially for really rural areas. For some reason I find that Florida doesn't get the best coverage in the rural areas with some of these packages. I didn't really get the jist of how map updates are handled with tom tom, I hope they don't make you pay full price again when you just want map updates??? I appreciate the comments of people that own it, I'd be running it on an axim advanced with a holux cf gps unit.
