I use my laptop at my office on a college campus. I use a LAN connection to retrieve my email thru Outlook. At first I was not able to do this. The IT department took my laptop and gave it back to me, they said they needed some kind of number (on my laptop) so I can retrieve my email of their server. I guess so the school has control of who is using their server. As you can tell I have no clue about comptures other than the fact that I have to use them a lot and rely on them. I use this laptop with my axim. It has been working great.
We have a wireless broadband router at home. So I thought it would be great to surf the internet with my axim while watching TV. I do not use active sync with my home computer, just my laptop at work. I can get on the internet and MSN messenger with no problem with my axim.
What I am trying to do from my home is use active sync wirelessly from my house (or any wireless location) to my laptop at my office. Is this even possible. And, then if it is, how?
