You'll need to pop the cd back in and re-rip the files. when you did it
before i bet you forgot to uncheck "protect music".
In the desktop player, go to tools > options, and click the "copy music"
tab. in there uncheck "protect content". you may need to re-rip the music.
[edit]Tried it on mine (WMP9 on XP) and I didn't have to re-rip the music. Turning off the "protect content" did the trick. Good Luck![/edit]
