I'm one of the many who are waiting beyond the initial date quoted from Dell. (Currently my date is 2/18, but that's for another forum, isn't it?)
I called today to see if a phone rep would give me any other info., or a different date. He thought I was going to cancel my order, so he offered a case number that I can refer to in order to get Next Day Shipping for free.
Here's the fine print: I had already chosen this option for $16 when I placed my initial order, so this may only work for those of you who also opted up front. (Is there anyone else besides me who would pay $16 for Next Day on an order that takes a month to fill?) The $16 will be credited back to my credit card when I call and give Dell the case number.
Just for the record: I wasn't irate, threatening, raving, etc. Just happened to get a helpful rep who knows that Dell has dropped the ball. (It's OK, they're still Dell, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!)
