Err... it works with WM2003.
You just have to follow their instructions to the letter.

Remove Memory cards from PDA before installing. See special instructions below.
Note: This driver works with Samsung PC2003 and Dell Axim 5 PC2003 (But the 3rd party rotational software hangs the OS)
Make sure you IR port is off of AUTO TRANSMIT as it makes the IR port unavailable.
REMOVE ALL MEMORY CARDS BEFORE INSTALLING DRIVER ON POCKETPC'S. Enabling the Pocketop keyboard once it has been installed is via the "input method selector" when in applications. It is the up arrow on the bottom right side of your screen. HARD RESET REQUIRED IF PREVIOUS DRIVER INSTALLED. If you have the Pocketop icon in your Programs menu, you still have the PocketPC2000 version of the Pocketop driver, and will need to Hard reset to remove it.
Driver installation instructions
1. Ensure you have the lastest device system software installed for your handheld.
2. Remove any previous versions of the Keyboard Driver on your handheld by accessing the Add/Remove Programs application within the Programs directory. Highlight the driver and tap remove.
3. Perform a soft re-set.
4. Download the PocketPC driver to any location on your hard drive.
5. Unzip the file. (Use the free Winzip tool)
6. Double Click on Setup.exe
7. The Setup.exe together with ActiveSync will install the driver onto the device.
8. Perform a soft re-set.
9. The Keyboard driver can be activated launching any application, other than the Today screen, and accessing the "Pocketop Keyboard" from the choice of input methods. The short-cut to the choice of input methods can be found as a small keyboard icon at the lower right hand corner of the PDA display. Tap on "Pocketop Keyboard" when the pop-up menu appears activating the driver at which point icons will appear for rotation, backlight brightness, text macro and sound off/on.
Rotation doesn't work in WM2003. Remember to turn off Beam Receive (Settings/Communications/Beam...) or you'll get a 'Cannot open COM port' message.
I know it works because I helped someone install it on their WM2003 Dell Axim. (Alas, still waiting for my copy of the upgrade...)
