Do a search on the net for audio converters or look on tucows. there are a bunch of programs that can convert just about any audio format.

Jdigital,
Use playlists. In WMP tap on "Select", then choose "Local Content" and then "Organize Playlists". This will allow you to create playlists that mirror the CD or groups that you want.

pascalman,
I think I remember reading that both Ogg and WMA have a format for audio that is 10% - 15% smaller than MP3. I think they can also get a similar quality at a lower bit rate, but I haven't fooled around with this stuff too much.
