avoid sandisk for the most part

There are tons of posts in here about problems with SD cards. San Disk sounds to be the worst offender in the Axim; even though Dell sells San Disk on their site--go figure :crooked:

I've seen a couple reports of problems with the Lexar but nothing like the san disk cards. I just bought my san disk 256 from Dell and it turned out to be one of the few San Disk cards (you can tell by the manufacturing number stamped on the back of the card) that is working with the Dell. There is a link to an extensive list of these manufacturing numbers that will tell you which work and which don't. I found that link on a post in here someplace.

If you're a Costco member, or know somebody that is, you can get 256 SD cards there for that price or a few cents cheaper and not pay shipping. Sometimes compusa runs some good deals on the Lexar but it's usually a mail in rebate.
