Hi Gixmox.
I spoketh too soon last post! I had neglected to uninstall PBP from my desktop. Once I did that 2.1.3 showed on my Ax. The power-off problem is still there; with Battery Monitor disabled the problem goes away. So I don't enable the Battery Monitor feature anymore. The first scheduled backup after I reinstalled worked like a charm. I even wrote German at Sprite and told him it looked like he had that one licked. But that was the last scheduled backup that was able to "wake" the Axim and run by itself. Now when I power on anytime after a scheduled backup, it's sitting there just waiting to start. Then it runs fine. But it won't wake the Ax up to do it. So I wrote German again and told him it was just a false alarm - still no fix!
So we're missing the benefit of automatic, unattended backups, and the auto-backup when power level reached 30%.
However the backup function itself is still the best I've found, so the program is still well worth the price.
And since they've supposedly solved the issue with their iPaq Backup version, I have high hopes that they'll solve it for us. But they better make it available free, regardless of how long we've had our version, to make up for the lack of the schedule and battery monitor features.
I have noticed a marked increase in speed of backup since installing WM 2003. Like 25M, comressed, in 2.5 minutes to my SD card. Have you also noticed that it's faster now?
Take care,
Jim
