I had an old Portable Power charger for my iPAQ 3800 and noticed it used the same size plug as the X3's. I charged my X3 with it last night and it works fine!

The unit was one I got from Comp USA a year ago for $40.00. It has an "intelligent" cable to limit charging, and adapters for AC, cigarette lighter plug, and USB. It also came with a zinc air battery to use when there's nothing to plug in to. So, any iPAQ power supply should work with the Dell connector. If only the sync & charge USB cables were the same
