Yeah, that seems to be the problem - he just doesn't like PPC. I bet he's had a Palm for years and hates Microsoft to boot. I'm no fan of Microsoft and I owned a Palm for a while but this is silly - sort of like sending someone who is afraid of the water to review a wet suit!
