However, there is no firewall or anything running.

a) Even after reinstalling ActiveSync on my PC and a hard reset of my axim this problem is still there

b) the same happens even if I try to sync files like mp3 between PC and Axim.

c) might there be any conflict with the Ipaq which I sync on the same PC?
