Nope. Mine is always lit when the Axim is seated correctly. You probably ought to contact Dell about getting a replacement. Email support is pretty quick and easy to track progress. It may just be a lose wire, but who knows what else is lose in there. Dell will likely just ship you another and not require to return the 'bad' one. I wanted to return the leather case I bought from them (kind of a sloppy fit), and they simply gave me a credit - return needed.
