What part of Scotland are you in?
I am in Aberdeen at the moment; I go back to Canada via the US at the end of next week. I return to sunny Aberdeen in January.
Now to the question.
I’m not sure about the X3, but the X5 comes with a power supply that will accept 110V to 240V. You will need a plug adapter or (if it is like the X5) a replacement power cable. These can be obtained for a few pounds from almost any electronics store in whatever country you are in. You may find that somewhere like Maplins sell them here. I prefer replacement cables to adapters, they are smaller, lighter and I feel they are safer.
Another alternative (which I favour) is the USB power cable. This is a cable that takes power from a USB port and uses it to charge your Axim. The charge rate is a lot slower but it is OK for trickle charge overnight. They are also not too good at charging from near flat so best to charge often. You can also get Mains to USB power converters; these are available from Maplins (I have one).
I travel with USB cables for my mobile and Axim and carry a mains/USB just incase there isn’t a computer handy.
I assume from your post you are thinking of buying an Axim in the USA and taking it back to Scotland. Remember that if you tell the customs people about it they will want VAT. Also Dell sell my mail order, do you have a US address that they will deliver to. Normally they will only deliver to the address on the credit card.
