I will save you some time and money. Don't bother with it, especially if it is from some company named PPA Inc. I had same reasoning as yours. I bought mine from Fry's Electronics. I have been trying to make it work with one of my WiFi cards that I use it with my laptop. But no luck ! I will be returning the converter to Fry's real soon.
