Linksys WCF11 and 12 / Mobile 2003 workaround

Linksys WCF11 and 12 / Mobile 2003 workaround!
Follow these instructions, they worked for me!

The Step-by-Step method has been confirmed to work on the following CF cards by members of this forum:

D-Link 660W
Netgear MA701
Linksys WCF12/WCF11
SMC SMC2642W

These are the basic steps I use, so hopefully it is fairly accurate

1) Download the Senao SL-2511CF Windows CE.NET 4.0 Driver

Senao SL-2511CF Download Page:
http://www.senao.com/default-1.htm

Senao SL-2511CF Windows CE.NET 4.0 Driver:
http://www.senao.com/service%20&%20...WinCENET400.zip

These drivers are compatible with PocketWarrior and allow you to shut off your wireless card (Connectivity->Turn Wireless off).

2) Run the installer (WLAN_ForWinCENET400.exe) and then do a soft reset.

3) You will get the following message (but don't panic!):

WLANSTA.exe
Cannot find 'WLANSTA' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available.

Unfortunately this utility (wlansta.exe) does not work in this configuration, so you should remove it from your windows startup folder.
Start file explorer
Start->Programs->File Explorer

Delete the 'WLANSTA' file from your startup folder
\MyDevice\Windows\Startup\WLAN Status...

4) Insert your 802.11b CF card

5) The OS should give you and "Unrecognized Card" dialog box.

6) Enter 'wlannds.dll' (without quotes) into the text box and click 'Ok'.

7) A New Network Detected box should appear if you have an existing wireless network

8) Select 'Work' and then the 'Connect' button

9) Enter your WEP key

10) Press Connect

11) Verify your connection status (a, b or c)

a) Click on the double arrow icon on the top task bar

b) Start->Settings->Connections tab->Connections->Advanced Tab->Network Card
In the wireless networks box, you should see the name of the network SSID and Connected

c) Use Internet Explorer to attach to the net
Start->Internet Explorer
Select a website from the favorites option (i.e. press the star)
Example:
Pocket PC.com (http://pocketpc.com)
