MSN Hotmail does not use POP3, it uses HTTP.
There is a great application that costs less than $10.00:
Adrian Software HTTPMail
(Can't remember the link, but just search for the above)
I use it daily with multiple MSN accounts in addition to standard POP3 accounts. . . It fully supports HTML mail and attachments.
