getting movies from DVD's you own onto the Axim is certianly possible but you are going to need plenty of storage space.
That is one area where the X5 has the advantage with its CF and CD slot.
Still you can get 512mb SD cards but they are expensive, probably the best place as mention in previous posts is ebay
