IMHO you can never have too much memory! I haven't run into the same issues as some of my compatriots with SanDisk and I have a couple. I have a couple of "generic" cards too. I recommend you buy at least 256MB cards of whatever type you need. A typical song for me is about 3meg. Some of my spreadsheets and C++ programs are a few meg a piece and then its really suprising how fast 200k or so note files add up. Throw in pictures at a couple of meg each, as well as GPS maps, and you can eat up a 64 or 128 Meg SD or CF card pretty fast.
