I did not use any sort of de-interlacing filter. As I mentioned the instructions were a bit vague at that point. I'm not even sure how you tell whether your movie is interlaced or not. It sounds like that might be it. The lines I spoke about don't happen every frame. There are some really clear frames that look beautiful. In fact when I look frame by frame on a DIVX player using my desktop, it looks like only some things on screen have the horizontal lines in them. For instance, the background will look fine, but the character in the forground looks like a Jenga tower that's falling apart.
What can you guys recommend as far as DIVX 5 goes? Is it better than 4? Or should I stick with what worked and just iron out this little problem?
