Still not able to delete the items from the PPC Inbox--even via ActiveSync > Explore. The \Windows\messaging folder is empty.

While using the ActiveSync > Explore interface, I noticed a Databases system folder. There are a number of items in this folder with a date stamp about the time I did my last sync:

fldr 100136a - 256KB
fldr 100136d - 8.02KB
MailActiveSync - 30.8KB
pmailFolders - 26.4KB
pmailMsgs - 327KB
Status Store - 480 bytes
DB_notify_queue - 5.25KB

Unfortunately, the Expore interface does not allow me to do anything with these files other than view their properties; I can't delete any of them.

I suspect that these "ghost message headers" are contained in one or more of these files.
