I use Sprite Pocket Backup Plus with 2003 and it has worked flawlessly. So you shouldn't have any problems unless you are backing up anything that is very specifically 2002 and not compatible with 2003 but that situation should only affect specific versions of software like Dotpocket etc. Otherwise just use Sprite to create a backup .exe file and save it where you like; after losing everything once I now save one in two separate locations - a bit paranoid I know but it was a real pain re-installing everything and replacing lost work:)
Anyway have a look at the Sprite site and if there is a trial version give it a whirl; I did alot of reading on various softwares for the ppc including backup and this is the one that is consistently recommended and the one I would advocate using.
