I tried WMEncoder 9...

Did a side by side comparison of 2 files same bitrate compressed with divx 5.0.3 as in the thread above and WMP 9.0 VBR for both....

And on my PC I think WMV looks a little tiny bit better... (mostly because microsoft seems to have mastered "Blur" when the bitrate is low)

However my axim would play the WMV file at about 3 fps if I was lucky... And the Divx avi played full speed...

So WMV has a slight advantage, but you need about a 1.5 ghz axim to get decent video it seems... but maybe I'm asking too much of my axim...

So I wouldn't recommend WMV, but that's my 2 cents...

WMA on the otherhand is quite nice... Better than mp3...
