That is actually incorrect.
Here are the speeds..
802.11b (2.4GHz) 11 Mbps transmission
802.11a (5GHz) 54 Mbps transmission
802.11g (2.4GHz) 54 Mbps transmission
802.11a does not work with either spec, nor does 802.11b. 802.11g is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.11b standard, so it connects with all existing 802.11b-compliant devices.
Now 22Mbps is not really a standard, its offerered by some manufactuers to increase the speed of 802.11b.

You must have the "special" 802.11b equipment on either end. No there are no CF cards that support 22 Mbps.
