Since I am a newbie to PPC, here is a reach:
It could be that ActiveSync is set to constantly refresh the Ax and inbox is running on the Ax. Therefore, it would make a sound when the mail comes in.
Possible solutions:
Set ActiveSync to only sync when placed in cradle and every 4 hours
Exit out of inbox on the Ax
Maybe turn off ActiveSync notification sound on the Ax... if that is possible? I'm thinking that the sound maybe ActiveSync notification, not just mail??
