X5 Audio

Updated Audio Driver for WM2003 X5's

Dell released this patch a couple days ago. You can get it on Dell's website or here.

I spoke with my PR rep at Dell today. She told me about a guy that got the ball rolling on this patch. He was not ugly, but persistant in telling Dell that there was a problem. He has an application that he or his company wrote that utilized audio. It worked great until WM2003 - "The sound system hang-up when my application is powered down began to occur exactly as with the Axims that had been delivered with A05. This is the first evidence that I have that the problem is likely related specifically to the ROM version and not to the hardware of those later X5's."

This just goes to show that Dell does listen to our needs. Keep the constructive advise and complaints up in the Tell Dell forum.
