No active sync begin sound / end sound problems for me after the patch and it did improve the quality a little bit "I think" but the sound on these devices still seams sub par. My old Toshiba had much better sound, of course it required a hard reset about once a month just prior to any backup I was thinking of doing. Even with not so great sound I will take my X5 ANYDAY over either of the two Toshiba P.O.S. I used to own!!!
