I have the same basic set-up/habit. Never had the problem you describe, but the Soft Reset is often the panacea for such strange happenings.
Unfortunately, if it doesn't work, my next suggestion isn't quite so palatable.
A........(dit-dit-dit-dahhhhhhhh).......
Hard Reset. But before that drastic step,
FIRST: Make A Back-Up!
Second: Wait until some others have kicked in on this.
