Are you saying that the memory is taken by the cache (temporary internet files)?

I was thinking that IE leaks an additional amount of memory on top of the cache files. Even after I moved my cache location to my SD Card, I'm still losing memory while browsing. Closing IE (not just minimizing/hiding it) does not restore memory.
