some of it may need to be re-encoded or resized, but WMP isn't a very good video player to begin with.
it'll probably be hard to find a non-windows wmv player....

Yes, no hiccups or choppiness, at least if you resize it to the axim's screen size.
I recommend converting to avi or mpg and using PMVP (or pocket TV).
