Thank you for posting your solution...but how did you do it? I added "no category" but that is, obviously, a category and doesn't match "" for those items which were unassigned in Outlook 2002. I even tried "<no category>". I added a test meeting to see if it worked. There was still no mention of it on my Axim after synchronization.
Anyway, I just went back in and manually edited EVERY SINGLE calendar event to have a category. (There doesn't appear to be a way to multiple edit on categories). The flaw in the system appears to be that categories are not synchronized arcross the interface. I have categories in outlook which don't show up at all on my PDA calenday (only the "today" page, which isn't very helpful for planning)
I'll add a question to this topic, since there seems to be no documentation on this:
I like to have all of my categories turned on when I view my calendar. However, when I go to create an appointment, it gets tagged with any/all categories which are flagged as being viewed. How can set the default appointment category to be different from the calendar view.
As a second question, is there another professionally written (I.e.: not MS or free/shareware) calendar and contacts program which is a bit more intuitive/user-friendly out there? I don't use Outlook for email, so I don't need that function integrated.
TIA!
