I ran the installer on the Axim X5 PPC 2003 and used the Billionton CF card I have and the stack started without problem. FYI - The COM port problem you mention was fixed a while ago. If the card you have isn't supported, the stack would never even try to start, so that's not it. Maybe you have a faulty card?"
I solved it all by returning my "noname" BT CF, returning my Sitecom one, buying a Socket one, which did what it says on the tin and worked first time.
