Activesync vs Outlook 100% CPU
I have a problem and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or knows a fix.
When I plug my Ax in via the cradle it starts to sync, it's all good, everything is working, I smile and am happy!
If I don't currently have outlook open, ActiveSync can still sync to my mailbox by opening a process for OUTLOOK.EXE in the background (I don't get an outlook interface but I can see OUTLOOK.EXE in the process list). At this stage everthing is fine.
If I leave the Ax plugged in for more than an hour or so, when I come back and check the "Performance" tab in task manager, the OUTLOOK.EXE process is using all the available processor time, between 80 and 100%.
Opening the actual outlook interface does nothing to this figure, it just sits there chewing on processor time. Unplugging the Ax does fix the problem, the OUTLOOK.EXE process dies and proecessor time goes back to normal.
I originally thought this may have been a problem with an overly fragmented .pst file, but I have since started a whole new on, outlook runs much faster but I still get the maxed CPU when Activesync is running.
Any ideas?
