I've been a site member for a while and have learned a lot from all of you -- thanks!

One more thing. My early Axim X5 the 400mhz one, with now AO4, has almost always turned itself back on after I have removed it from the cradle and turned it off. It usually comes back on after a minute or so and then will stay off after I turn it off again.

The buttons are set to not turn the machine on, and it is set to turn itself off after 3 minutes on battery power. The problem is, it doesn't always work. I had not used the machine all weekend and this morning it was dead. The backup battery was also dead and the data was gone. I was able to get it back, including downloaded programs, through a lot of hassle but quite frankly this shouldn't happen.

I was on the phone to Dell today, and while courteous, they danced around this one. Any ideas?
