Ok, but you do have a backup of some kind, the .bak file extension indicates that.
Have you downloaded another back up programme?
By the way (stupid question) if you're running XP you should have the Application Data Folder indicated: you did look on the pc and not the ppc?
I'm running out of ideas now, the only thing I can think of is to try changing the file extension on a copy of a back up and try reinstalling that.

I am also using Win XP and AS 3.7.1 and I don't even have an Application data folder... Did find an ActiveSync folder but there is no "Profile" folder in it. Also searched for a "backup.stg" file but I don't have one. Evidently I've never made a "backup" using Active Sync...
