The Today PowerToy (part of the PHM PPC PowerToys) is an applet w/o any UI that simply return to the Today screen. It can be assigned to a H/W button to avoid tapping Start/Today; assign it to a button in Start/Settings/Personal/Buttons/Program Buttons.
