BROADCOM does not make cards (yet)... they DO provide designs to Asian contract manufacturers that build the cards for the benefit of a third parts, like Dell for example. Broadcom has not released a production CF design to a contract manufacturer... but they may be selling chips to any number of second parties that are building cards. Trust me - I know. I do not know who is making the 1180 card for Dell... but I will bet money it is from a MAJOR contract manufacturer based in Taiwan... Drivers are based on a core from Broadcom (if it has a Broadcom chipset in it), but may be heavily modified by other parties.
