While connected with your ISP, open vxUtil, tap Function, Ping...
In the top box, type the name of a website, such as google.com and tap "Ping."
If the Ping is successful, it will respond with something like:

Of course, this is a 'good' response. If there is problem with the ping they will timeout (at 1000ms by default) and the 'good'/'bad' percentages will different.
If you get 100% bad, try typing in 216.239.39.99
This is the IP number for google. If you get good responses using the IP, then it suggest the domain names are not being resolved.
