Thanks for all the suggestions. I might try the 'rip from CD' route or breakdown and get a CF card. Since this happens from at least 2 music download services - BuyMusic.com and Naptster, I suspect it is a license issue. The thing that bugs me is that when BuyMusic.com first opened for business, I was able to transfer a good number of downloaded songs to the SD card. Then one day - no more. Thanks.
