I guess I don't see the problem. My iPaq 3630 did the same thing. In fact, on both my iPaq and my X5 Advanced if I change anything about it's status (connect/disconnect cradle, usb, keyboard, etc.) the unit wakes up.

Never bothered me in the least. In fact, in most cases that's precisely what I WANT it to do. I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure.
