If you are going to logon through VPN the settings are in the Connections applet on the Connections tab under Start... Settings. You put in the IP address and you logon information and the Axim will connect to the VPN when attempting to do something that would require the connection (like Terminal Servers or Activesync). You can always make the connection manually by tapping the network icon at the top of the screen and tap Connect VPN.
