<< need them to be very small (maybe even ear bud type) because I plan to be having them on in class (so i can listen to music while i take notes) but also want some good quality.

I just purchased a pair of the earbud style headphones from BestBuy. They were made by Panasonic and cost $9.95 (Cdn). What made me buy them was the fact they were equipped with a volume control. They work quite well for both mp3 files and for games.
