The Axim was too big for me. I'm not a hobbit or small guy. I'm 5' 10" 180lbs. I am coming from a PalmV background and wanted a pocket PC. I bought an Axim and just couldn't carry it around with me like I did my Palm.
I used my Axim for a couple weeks, before I noticed it sitting in it's craddle everytime I left. I just wouldn't bring it with me. I don't want to use a belt clip, or a big case. I want just the pda with me. The Axim was just a little too big. The Axims main purpose for me was calendar and contacts. Sure it was great it could do many other things.
To illustrate my point about size - I ended up purchasing a HP1910. Same price but half the memory, half the mhz, half the features and half the size.
You guys sound awful insecure, defending the Axims weight and girth vs. the competition. Everyone has different needs and if someone thinks the Axim is a little big - it doesn't mean they are a hobbit. :p Besides - wouldn't we all love a smaller Axim without losing any features? Don't encourage Dell to make a bigger one!
